The Healing Foundation
With only a handful of users located within the Royal College of Surgeons of England, The Healing Foundation, as with any small charity or non for profit organisation, has to pay close attention to it's costs to ensure that it always receives value for money.
The Healing Foundation chose Octavia to set up a Windows 2003 server and network infrastructure in late 2004.
Octavia procured all of the equipment required for the project along with the software licensing at charity rates given our status as a Microsoft Authorised Educational Reseller.
We then set up the network and all it's component elements such as backups and antivirus, ensuring the whole project was completed as economically as possible. Following the project a Flexisupport contract commenced.
The Flexisupport mechanism along with the success of the initial network implementation has resulted in extremely low ongoing support costs.
With Flexisupport, The Healing Foundation has access to unlimited immediate support responses along with regular routine Health Checking giving them peace of mind that they are taking the necessary care of their system and that they are protected from the risk of unforeseen IT issues.
The Healing Foundation recently had Blackberry Enterprise Server installed. This was performed as a discrete package of work beyond the scope of their Flexisupport contract. Upon successful completion and bedding down, the Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES) has become covered under the terms of Flexisupport.
