Prospectus
Prospectus has 40 users based in central London on a mixed Windows and Mac network with multiple servers. Having had internal IT Support backed up by Octavia's Flexisupport service for some time they decided to outsource their entire IT Support when the previous in house IT administrator left the company in Oct 2005.
Having used Octavia for large complicated network enhancement projects as well as for support back up, they felt confident in the service. They could also see the benefits of an outsourced service not ever requiring holiday, sick leave or internal guidance and mentoring in the same way as internal members of staff. This means that they always have comprehensive coverage when needed.
Octavia's service has saved them money as well as providing a greater depth of skills and experience than could be achieved, with a similar budget, by recruiting IT staff.
Our Engineers regularly visit the Prospectus offices as well as working remotely and have become an integral part of their team performing routine server health checking, IT system inductions for new staff as well as dealing with ad hoc user issues.
As well as on going support, Octavia fulfill all the other functions expected of an IT department for Prospectus, from sourcing equipment to consulting on improvements in infrastructure and system efficiency. Octavia's software division also provide back up support to their internal bespoke software systems.
